Katie and Kyle welcome their sweet girl, Emerson Rhea – “Emmie” – into their family on January 7th. I was so honored to spend some time with them just a week after her birth to get some sweet newborn photos.

Katie and Kyle’s miniature aussies weren’t so sure yet about the newest addition to the family, but they joined in on the photo fun with us and were super adorable. No in-home photo session is complete without the family dogs in the picture. 🙂

Katie was a few years ahead of me in school, but we were both on the high school dance team and involved in musical theater together. I was also good friends with her brother, Trevor, who’s engagement session I recently shot (see it here!) It’s so fun to revisit old friends and see where life has taken them.

I know that if Emmie is anything like her mom, she will be beautiful, talented, and full of personality! Congratulations, Katie and Kyle!
