Jillian + Adam | UGA Athens | Engagement Photographer

Couples, Portraits

May 31, 2019

We feel very blessed to know Jillian and Adam. We met them back at UGA on leadership at the Baptist Collegiate Ministry. We also attended the same church in Athens, which meant we spent lots of time playing board games, volleyball, and just generally doing life and ministry together. Adam and Jillian didn’t begin dating until after Evan and I left Athens, but we’ve been cheering them on from a distance because we know they are a perfect match. These two are passionate people who love people and love life. I know that marriage will only strengthen the influence and impact they are going to have on their community and this world!

We shot their engagement session in the last week of May – inconveniently in a week of record-breaking high temps and conveniently after the hoards of college students had gone home for the summer. We meandered around North Campus for a bit, then stopped by the little courtyard beside the BCM, where Adam first told Jillian he loved her and where he later proposed to her. We also made an unplanned pitstop at the new Chickfila downtown because a) it was hot and b) Jillian works at Chickfila and Adam eats there everyday with students, so it seemed like the right thing to do.

With all the “formals” out of the way, we headed downtown to Big City Bread where Jillian and Adam got coffee and challenged each other to a game of cards – a perfect little vignette of their lives together.

It was a perfect session and we can’t wait to photograph their wedding in November!
