April 18, 2019
I was so excited to return to Cloverleaf Farms this spring for our first wedding of 2019. This venue really has it all – the beautiful house, the grove of trees, open fields for sunset photos, and a picturesque spot for an outdoor ceremony. Every photographer’s dream. Even better, the couple has been a joy to work with since day one, so I knew it was going to be a great day!
Lindsey and Ethan have a camp romance (read more about it on their engagement blog) and are “camp people”. Camp people are full of life, full of fun, and full of love for other people. This is the perfect description for their relationship and also their wedding day!
Naturally, Lindsey and Ethan had big bridal parties – but they were all there 100% for them. The girls were so much fun to capture at the beginning of the day, hanging out in pretty robes, making Lindsey feel beautiful and special long before the dress was on. Once the dress WAS on, we were all stunned by how perfect Lindsey looked! I couldn’t wait to take her down for her first look with Ethan! Right before that, Lindsey and Ethan opened their gifts from one another. Lindsey gave Ethan a handsome looking watch and Ethan gifted Lindsey a beautiful new Bible with a hand painted cover. The tears began early that day!
Portraits were laid back and fun, and we were able to capture so many romantic images before the ceremony. In fact, by the time the ceremony ended, we only needed a hand full of shots with the veil and Lindsey and Ethan were free to join their party right away! We love seeing couples join their guests quickly after the ceremony – spending each moment where it truly matters – because they opted to take photos beforehand.
And this reception was a party worth being there for! The First Generation Band had the guests dancing and singing all night long! Even when the temperature dropped with the night, no one seemed to notice on the crowded dance floor.
It was the perfect start to the year – our 2019 weddings have a lot to live up to! Congratulations, Mr. and Mrs. Latty – thank you for the honor of photographing your lovely wedding day!
