I have crossed paths with the Golden family many times growing up – we share the same home town of Conyers, and Debbie and Robert’s kids went to the same school as me and my siblings. It is always so fun to reconnect with old Conyers friends and I’m so glad Debbie reached out to me! Debbie and Robert have three kids, all grown and married, and many living in different states. Christmas time brought them all together and the kids gave Debbie a photo shoot for Christmas (GREAT GIFT IDEA FOR PARENTS…hint hint). Fortunately, we were both in town at the same time, so we headed out to the Monastery of the Holy Spirit – one of the prettiest and most peaceful spots in Conyers.

The Golden family started with three sons, and has grown with spouses and several littles – and one on the way! I have had so much fun getting into family photography this year, but it still makes me nervous to work with young children. I like to be in control of my outcomes, and we all know that kids can be quite unpredictable! The sweet mothers of the crew put me at ease right away though, when they told me “we don’t care if they’re looking at the camera or smiling – we just want them to be in the shot!” Praise the Lord for mamas who get it – we were able to relax and focus on having a good time, which resulted in lots of sweet moments and real personality.

I know that these pictures will be cherished for a very long time as the family continues to change and grow!
