I shot Lindsey and Ethan’s engagement session at Sandy Creek Park in Athens on Thanksgiving week. The park trees were showing off their best fall colors for the occasion and I enjoyed every minute of shooting and editing these gorgeous fall photos!
I heard Lindsey mention the mountains and the outdoors over and over again while I was getting to know her – she and Ethan are a “camp couple” – so I knew we needed a nature setting for their engagement session. Ethan is actually still living #camplife as the Site Director at a YMCA Camp, so I also knew we would have a ton to talk about during their shoot! Evan and I both spent many college summers working at summer camps across America and it is a culture and way of life that sticks with you forever. [In case anyone is wondering, my camp name is “Danger” or “Bear Thrylls” and Evan’s is “Life in Technicolor”.] You can ask me later how we got those names!
Lindsey and Ethan’s heart for people and each other really showed through their laid back attitudes during the session. I was in full light-chasing mode, trying to capture the colorful leaves and grasses, and they hopped in the car with me a dozen times to explore different sections of the park.
I think their golden personalities really showed through in these photos and I can’t wait to photograph their Athens wedding in March!
