Jennifer + Robby | Glendalough Manor | Wedding Photographer

Wedding Video, Weddings

August 1, 2018

Jennifer and Robby were brought together by a love for music. They both joined the Georgia Redcoat Band their freshman year of college and found themselves sitting together at the Redcoat’s trip to the Braves game..and a university orchestra concert..and again at a saxophone quartet recital. We’re not sure if this was pure coincidence or if there was some secret positioning going on, but they finally went to Snelling and sat together for hours, talking and bonding.

Now, six years later, they are married and music is still their passion. Rob is a high school band director and Jenn is an elementary school music teacher. I love that they share a common bond that they can pursue together!

Jennifer and Robby had a happy, sunny wedding day in June, with pops of yellow woven throughout. It was a beautiful and relaxed Sunday and every detail of the day was personal and unique to the couple’s relationship. Jenn’s bridesmaids were so thoughtful and took the time to create a little “staging area” for Jennifer to get ready in. They knew that church fellowship halls aren’t the most picturesque bridal suites and I love that they thought to dress it up for her!

Their ceremony took place at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Fayetteville, where Jen and her family attend. I think Robby was more nervous about hearing his friends play the piece he personally wrote for the wedding ceremony than getting married! He didn’t need to be though, because the music was beautiful and the couple was so happy to finally tie the knot.

After the ceremony the party moved to the picturesque Glendalough Manor. Their gardens were like a photography playground for me, especially when golden hour came! We enjoyed their relaxed reception, complete with a late night snack of cookies and milk (I would personally take this over cake any day!).

Everyone lined up at the end of the night with red pom poms to escort the couple to their getaway car, Dawg Walk style, with the Georgia fight song. We laughed when the couple came out wearing bride and groom Mickey ears – I hope they wore them all the way to Disney World for their honeymoon!

Congratulations, Mr. and Mrs. Myles! We’re so happy to be your friends and photographers!
