In their Freshman year at the University of Georgia, Cashin saw Connor across the crowded room in Bolton Dining Hall and thought he was cute. Years later, Connor is seeing Cashin in her wedding dress for the first time across a quiet courtyard on North Campus. From his facial expression, I’d say he thinks she is drop dead gorgeous. Cashin was the very definition of an elegant southern bride – her wedding dress from Atlanta Street Bridal Company was lacy with intricate detailing [which I could not stop photographing] and looked like it was made for her!
Cashin and Connor got married at the Thompson House and Gardens and it was the perfect venue for this spring wedding! Cashin hoped all year that the flowers would be in full bloom on their wedding weekend. Her dreams came true and the Thompson House was surrounded by beautiful hydrangeas of all different colors – a colorful backdrop for this lovely couple.
The bride and groom celebrated their Alma Mater and weaved UGA spirit throughout the day. From a morning getting ready at the Gameday Suites to portraits on North Campus, to a surprise visit from Hairy Dawg at the reception, and a replica of Sanford Stadium as the groom cake – it was a Saturday in Athens to remember! The couple left the reception in style, in a vintage Rolls-Royc, which the groom booked as a surprise to the bride! I love when grooms are thoughtful enough to surprise their brides with unexpected plans!
We were so lucky to be a part of this sweet couple’s day – congratulations, Mr. and Mrs. Thorn!
