Brittany and Chris will forever stand out in our minds as one of the most laid back and fun loving couples we’ve ever worked with. They are “anything goes, don’t sweat the small stuff, cake in your face..and hair..and nose”…kind of people. The absolute best kind of people to photograph on a wedding day.

Their wedding day at Grant Hill Farm was a perfect reflection of their casual and laid back personality and there wasn’t a single minute of stress! We loved how they laced their interests and passions throughout the day to make the wedding unique and personal for them and their families. As I mentioned in their engagement blog, “cheers” is a way of life for this midwest couple. They decorated the wedding venue with glasses from different breweries around the country and even had a fun cow from a brewery which quickly became the unofficial wedding mascot.

Brittany and Chris are also huge sports fans. Their Uncle Walt officiated their ceremony and he surprised the couple after the vows with a presentation of scarves featuring the Liverpool soccer team and the entire congregation joined together to sing the song “You’ll Never Walk Alone,” which is a tradition of the team’s fans.

It was such a sweet and unique moment to witness! Immediately following the ceremony, Brittany and Chris snuck off to the groom’s suite to share their “First Drink” of a bottle of whiskey engraved with their anniversary. Once their bridal party joined them, they all entered the reception to popular walk in music and formed a team tunnel and the party raged on for the rest of the night!

Brittany and Chris, thank you so much for inviting us to be a part of this fun wedding day – we know that you two will embrace a lifelong celebration together! Congratulations!!
