In their very first week at the University of Georgia. Amy’s friend, MJ, invited her to eat lunch at the dining hall with two guys from her high school. One of those guys was notorious for being “cute”, but the other one, Kevin, caught Amy’s eye. They continued to bump into each other on campus and quickly got together, sharing their first kiss on Amy’s bid day. Many years and a mountain-top proposal later found Amy and Kevin saying their vows at the Carlyle House in Norcross, Georgia!

Amy started going to the YMCA Camp High Harbour as a little girl, and the camp continued to shape her as she returned year after year. Amy eventually became a Program Director and Camp Nurse as an adult. Her own Program Director, Drew Hullinger, played a big role in Amy’s life and it was so special to see him marry Amy and Kevin. Amy’s cousin sang and played guitar as she walked down the aisle, and later as her and Kevin shared their first dance. I loved this, because the flowers and colors and decorations make a the day beautiful, but it’s the people that make the wedding meaningful. We love the symbolism of beginning a marriage with the support and accountability of friends, family, and leaders.

Amy and Kevin both love people and fun and live music, and you could tell from their wedding day. Their bridal party was lively and made us feel like we were part of their group from the moment we walked into the hotel room Saturday morning. I couldn’t help but dance along and even hop into the limbo once or twice later on in the reception – and Amy and Kevin hardly ever left the dance floor! We love when couples enjoy their party and stay right in the thick of it!
