Kelsey + John | Arabia Mountain | Engagement Photographer

Couples, Portraits

November 29, 2017

I met Kelsey at UGA – we were in Public Relations and in the same group for our PR Campaigns class. I remember how energetic and driven and friendly Kelsey was in college, even in the midst of the most stressful project we ever completed, so I knew she would be a dream bride! Kelsey and her fiance, John, have been dating since high school and are finally tying the knot in March!

For their engagement session, the couple wanted to go on an adventure, which we are ALWAYS up for. We headed out to Arabia mountain in search of some rugged landscape and mountain top views. We all laughed as soon as we met John because his voice was barely audible after cheering for the Dawgs the day before. This made for lots of picture perfect giggles throughout the evening. We explored all over the rocky landscape, found an old building foundation to lean on (which reminded Kelsey of a middle school John trying to make a move), and oohed and ahed over the vibrant fall colors. We never did quite find the top of the mountain, but we did hang out until the sun was fully set and only then could bring ourselves to put the camera away. This couple was gorgeous and we had a wonderful fall afternoon with them!

We LOVE exploring nature for engagement sessions – if you know of any hidden gems in Georgia or beautiful landscapes, let us know! We will be accepting more portrait work in January and would love to photograph you!
