I remember hearing Branigan and Trey’s “How We Met” story and thinking that it would make a perfect opening scene to a movie. They were both in school at Columbus State University and Branigan attended an open tryout for the softball team. Trey’s dad happened to be there and took notice of Branigan. “He went home raving about this left handed centerfielder named Branigan Wix who was a stud that would be joining the team”. Trey, who went to every game to see his sister play, later saw Branigan and knew he wanted to talk to her. A few years later, they both ended up at the Taylor County Boondocks 4th of July event and they hit it off beneath the fireworks. (My cheesy wording).

Two years later, Trey proposed to Branigan beneath the fireworks of Cinderella’s Castle at Disney World, which is just perfect because Branigan is a HUGE Disney fan and looked just like a princess in her wedding ball gown!

Their wedding at the Wright Farm was filled with lots of laughter and sentimental moments. Branigan and Trey and their bridal parties wore cowboy boots and held paper bouquets and boutineers that Branigan’s mom made herself! There was an amazing sunset to end the perfect fairytale day before they left for their Disney World honeymoon.

Congratulations, Mr. and Mrs. Jones!! I hope y’all live happily ever after!
