This newborn session was extra special to me for several reasons. For starters, this new mama, Marcie, is one of my family’s oldest friends. Our families grew up going to Salem Campmeeting together (where I’m sitting on the porch as I write this) and she and my sister have been best friends since before they were born. Marcie is also my first We Two bride to have a baby, so I’m excited to to start capturing our wedding couples’ growing families!

Marcie and Nate weren’t expecting baby boy Elijah until this week, but he was too excited to get into this world and graced us with his presence on June 3rd, a whole six weeks before his due date. He has been a little champ from the start though, and is strong and healthy (and so cute!) I loved Elijah’s nursery, which Marcie decorated in Peter Pan decor, and enjoyed welcoming this new little friend into our world!

To make this week even more special, Elijah was christened right here at Campmeeting this week, on his due date, by my dad, who performed Marcie and Nate’s wedding ceremony just a little over a year ago. There is a sweet sweet spirit in this family! We love you!
