Steph Brown and I got connected through the Rising Tide Society, an online and nationwide network of entrepreneurs who believe that in promoting community over competition. Steph has her own design business, Oh My! Designs by Steph and she makes the most beautiful wedding and event invitations! She is also starting a new blog called Zero to Biz to educate other small business owners.

We sat and chatted (for probably too long) about the wedding industry and the entrepreneur life. Working for yourself and growing a business is amazing and fun, but it’s also a lot of hard work. It can often get lonely and frustrating when friends and family misunderstand you, so I think it is so important to surround ourselves with other entrepreneurs! Steph is talented and friendly and if I were getting married again, I would totally hire her to design my invites (rather than the horrible DIY attempt I made).
