I grew up going to Salem Campmeeting with Lucy and her family and was beyond excited when she asked us to shoot her wedding at the campground. Lucy met her husband, Kris, as he studied under her father at Candler School of Theology. Salem is a special place to the many families that meet together every year to worship, study the World, and carry on old traditions of our ancestors before us. There was truly a sweet sweet Spirit in that place, as Lucy and Kris said “I Do” under the old tabernacle, with sawdust beneath their feet.

We celebrated their vows with a beautiful reception at the Swan Coach House in Atlanta. Lucy’s dad, Tom, wrote and recorded the sweetest song, which he surprised her with during the father-daughter dance. Lucy and Kris even provided a cigar bar for their guests, which was fun to capture in the fading light. Lucy told me in our first consult that she loved the “rustic chic” feel, and she pulled it off perfectly! Congratulations, Lucy and Kris!
